ITINERARY

Day 1: June 10, 2026 / Arrival – Würzburg Old Town Walking Tour – Dinner with Wine Tasting

Departure in the morning from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Würzburg, including breakfast. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, then begin your walking tour through Würzburg’s charming old town. Let yourself be enchanted by the historic streets, impressive buildings, and vibrant atmosphere. After the tour, you will have free time to explore the city on your own—for example, strolling through small boutiques. In a cozy wine tavern or traditional estate, enjoy a delicious dinner accompanied by a guided wine tasting.

Day 2: June 11, 2026 / Würzburg Residence – Old Main Bridge

After a hearty breakfast, a cultural highlight awaits: the visit to the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The magnificent rooms, including the impressive staircase with the world-famous ceiling fresco by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, the White Hall, the Emperor’s Hall, and the ornate Mirror Cabinet, bring Baroque splendor to life. Afterwards, the court garden with its artfully designed paths and splendid flower beds invites you to take a relaxing walk. In the afternoon, the route leads to the Old Main Bridge, one of Würzburg’s landmarks. The Baroque bridge with its impressive statues of saints offers a magnificent view of the city and the Main River. It is worth stopping at one of the bridge’s wine cafés to enjoy a glass of Franconian wine. You can spend the rest of the afternoon as you please: whether shopping along Veitshöchheimer Straße or simply relaxing at a street café—Würzburg offers plenty of options.

Day 3: June 12, 2026 / Marienberg Fortress – Return Journey

In the morning, the trip takes you up to the Marienberg Fortress, which majestically towers over Würzburg. From here, enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the picturesque Main valley. The widely visible castle houses the Museum of Franconia, offering fascinating insights into the region’s history. After the visit, enjoy a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, you will begin the return journey to Luxembourg.
