ITINERARY
Day 1: 14 December 2026 / Arrival in Amsterdam – Leisure Time
Departure takes place in the morning at 7:00 a.m. from the P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg towards Namur, including breakfast. Afterwards, the journey continues to Amsterdam. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to discover the Dutch capital illuminated by Christmas lights. A popular meeting place is Amsterdam’s Foodhallen, a large indoor market hall filled with restaurants, cafés and small food stalls visited by both locals and travellers. At the lively Leidseplein, a large ice-skating rink awaits in the heart of the city. Surrounded by festively decorated Christmas market stalls, it offers a cosy winter atmosphere. Take your time to enjoy Amsterdam’s unique seasonal charm. During Advent, the city transforms into a true sea of lights.
Day 2: 15 December 2026 / Museum Quarter – Christmas Markets – Canal Cruise
Today begins at the Museumsplein, Amsterdam’s cultural heart. In front of the famous Rijksmuseum, the charming “Ice Village” welcomes visitors with its ice rink and small winter market featuring festive music, sparkling lights and culinary delights. Afterwards, you will visit the renowned Rijksmuseum during a guided tour with a local guide. Later, there is free time to explore the popular Christmas market on Dam Square, where numerous stalls offer handmade gifts and seasonal specialities. The highlight of the day is an evening canal cruise. Wrapped warmly in blankets and scarves, you will experience Amsterdam’s illuminated canals and historic buildings from the water.
Day 3: 16 December 2026 / Leiden – Return Journey
After breakfast, the journey continues to Leiden. During the “Winter Wonder Weken”, the historic city centre transforms into a charming winter wonderland. Especially the nostalgic Christmas market along the Hooglandse Kerkgracht invites visitors to linger among wooden stalls, festive treats, mulled wine and lovingly decorated gift stands. In the afternoon, you begin the return journey to Luxembourg.
