TRAVEL ITINERARY
Day 1: 18 May 2027 / Arrival Early in the morning, your journey begins from the P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg towards Stresa on Lake Maggiore. Breakfast and lunch are included during the journey. In the evening, you arrive at your destination and check into your hotel.
Day 2: 19 May 2027 / Weekly Market in Luino – Lugano Italian market life and Mediterranean flair define today’s excursion. First, you enjoy a scenic boat crossing from Intra to Laveno before continuing to Luino, where you visit the traditional weekly market. Surrounded by regional delicacies, leather goods and Italian fashion, you experience authentic local life. In the afternoon, Lugano welcomes you with its elegant lakeside promenade and southern atmosphere. Enjoy free time for a stroll through the beautiful Parco Ciani or a relaxing walk through the city centre.
Day 3: 20 May 2027 / Leisure Time in Stresa – Isola Bella The morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. Perhaps take a walk along Stresa’s lakeside promenade, enjoy a cappuccino on a terrace or browse the charming boutiques in the old town. In the afternoon, you travel by boat to Isola Bella, considered the most famous jewel of Lake Maggiore. The magnificent Baroque palace of the Borromeo family and the beautifully designed terraced gardens make this visit a truly memorable experience.
Day 4: 21 May 2027 / Centovalli Railway to Locarno Today, one of Europe’s most scenic railway journeys awaits you. From Domodossola, the Centovalli Railway travels through the picturesque “Hundred Valleys.” Deep gorges, impressive bridges and dense chestnut forests accompany the route all the way to Locarno. Once there, you have ample free time to explore the lively old town or simply enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere.
Day 5: 22 May 2027 / Villa Taranto – Lake Orta This morning focuses on the beauty of botanical gardens. The gardens of Villa Taranto impress with an extraordinary variety of rare plants and carefully designed landscapes. Afterwards, the journey continues to idyllic Lake Orta. In the charming village of Orta San Giulio, time seems to stand still: narrow cobbled streets, small squares and stunning lake views create a uniquely romantic atmosphere.
Day 6: 23 May 2027 / Leisure Time in Stresa Enjoy a relaxing day at Lake Maggiore. We recommend an individual excursion to Isola Madre, a visit to the Parco della Villa Pallavicino or exploring one of the many traditional local markets nearby. Stresa’s lakeside promenade also invites you simply to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Day 7: 24 May 2027 / Return Journey After breakfast, you begin your return journey to Luxembourg, including lunch along the way.
