ITINERARY
Day 1: 21 December 2026 / Arrival in Tannheim
Departure at 6:00 a.m. from the P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg towards the Allgäu region, including breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, you arrive in the Tannheim Valley, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Day 2: 22 December 2026 / Ettal – Oberammergau
In the morning, you travel to the Ammergau Alps and the peaceful village of Ettal, surrounded by impressive mountain scenery. Here you discover the historic Benedictine monastery of Ettal, renowned for its fascinating history and remarkable architecture. Afterwards, the journey continues to Oberammergau. During a guided walk, you explore the world-famous Passion Play village and admire its beautifully painted traditional façades.
Day 3: 23 December 2026 / Horse-drawn carriage ride – Leisure time
After breakfast, a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride takes you through the snowy mountain landscape to Lake Vilsalpsee. Wrapped in warm blankets, you enjoy the peaceful winter atmosphere and idyllic scenery. The remainder of the day is at leisure – ideal for a walk, a café visit or simply relaxing.
Day 4: 24 December 2026 / Rettenberg – Oberstdorf
Through picturesque winter scenery, you first travel to Rettenberg, idyllically located at the foot of Mount Grünten, also known as the “Guardian of the Allgäu”. The journey then continues to Oberstdorf, one of Germany’s best-known spa and winter sports resorts. Here you have time for a leisurely stroll through the festively decorated village. In the afternoon, you return to the hotel where a warm and festive Christmas Eve celebration awaits you.
Day 5: 25 December 2026 / Christmas Day – Leisure day
Christmas Day is entirely yours to enjoy. Whether taking a peaceful walk through snowy Tannheim, relaxing in the wellness area or simply enjoying a quiet festive day, you may spend the holiday exactly as you wish.
Day 6: 26 December 2026 / Füssen – Wies Church
Today you first discover Füssen with its charming old town and colourful façades. The route then leads through impressive landscapes of mountains and lakes to the famous Wies Church. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered one of the finest examples of Rococo architecture in the world. Afterwards, you travel back through the Ammergau Alps to the Tannheim Valley.
Day 7: 27 December 2026 / Return journey
After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the Allgäu region. Return journey to Luxembourg with lunch included.
