ITINERARY

Day 1: 07 March 2027 / Journey to Ellmau

Departure from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) at 6:00 a.m. for Tyrol, including breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, you arrive in the picturesque village of Ellmau beneath the Wilder Kaiser mountain range and check in to your hotel.

Day 2: 08 March 2027 / Ellmau

Your first day is dedicated to discovering the beautiful surroundings. After breakfast, enjoy magnificent views of the striking peaks of the Wilder Kaiser. The hotel’s central location is ideal for a leisurely stroll through the village or a short hike in the area. Fans of the popular TV series “Der Bergdoktor” will recognize many familiar filming locations.

Day 3: 09 March 2027 / Kufstein and Scenic Kaiser Mountains Tour

A short drive takes you to Kufstein, one of Tyrol’s best-known towns. During a guided tour, you will explore its charming historic centre. Around midday, you will hear the famous Heldenorgel, Europe’s largest open-air organ, whose powerful sound resonates throughout the town as a symbol of peace. Afterwards, enjoy a visit to the traditional “Auracher Löchl” inn, which has welcomed guests for over 600 years. In the afternoon, a scenic coach tour takes you around the Kaiser Mountains and through the picturesque Pillersee region. Should weather conditions require it, this excursion may be rescheduled.

Day 4: 10 March 2027 / Following the Footsteps of the “Mountain Doctor”

Ellmau and its surroundings have become famous as the filming location of the popular television series “Der Bergdoktor”. A short walk brings you to the well-known doctor’s practice, which can be viewed from the outside. Afterwards, you continue by coach through the beautiful landscapes to the village of Going. During a short walk, you will discover its charming village square, traditional houses and magnificent Rococo church.

Day 5: 11 March 2027 / Lake Achensee – Pertisau – Rattenberg

Today’s excursion begins at Lake Achensee, often regarded as one of Tyrol’s most beautiful lakes thanks to its spectacular setting between the Karwendel and Rofan mountain ranges. In Pertisau, enjoy a stroll along the lakeside promenade or visit the interesting Stone Oil Museum. On the return journey, stop in Rattenberg. With around 400 inhabitants, it is Austria’s smallest town and is renowned for its traditional glassmaking craftsmanship. As you wander through its medieval streets, you will discover numerous workshops and artisan shops.

Day 6: 12 March 2027 / Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel is one of the Alps’ most famous winter sports resorts. During a guided tour, you will learn more about the town’s history and hear fascinating stories about the legendary Streif downhill ski course, one of the most challenging races on the Alpine World Cup circuit. The historic centre enchants visitors with colourful townhouses, elegant boutiques and inviting cafés. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace or visit the local museum.

Day 7: 13 March 2027 / Return Journey

After memorable days in the Tyrolean Alps, return to Luxembourg with lunch included.
