Day 1: 1 August 2026 / Arrival in Kiel Departure early in the morning from Luxembourg at the P+R Bouillon towards Kiel, including breakfast and lunch. In the late afternoon, board a comfortable ferry in the Hanseatic city to Gothenburg. Enjoy the delicious dinner buffet before spending a cozy night on board.
Day 2: 2 August 2026 / Gothenburg – Stockholm In the morning, the ship arrives in Gothenburg. After disembarking, travel across the country to Lake Vättern. The journey continues via Gränna, Linköping, and Norrköping to Stockholm. Air passengers: arrival by flight to Stockholm in the late morning. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 3: 3 August 2026 / Stockholm – Ferry to Mariehamn On a guided city tour, you will see the main sights of the Swedish capital: the magnificent City Hall, the impressive Riddarholm Church, the picturesque Old Town Gamla Stan, and the Royal Palace with its ceremonial changing of the guard. In the afternoon, board the ferry to Mariehamn. Upon arrival in the Åland Islands, disembarkation and overnight stay, including breakfast.
Day 4: 4 August 2026 / Mariehamn – Turku Explore the charming capital of the Åland Islands. Mariehamn still reflects the maritime tradition of the region. Discover the unspoiled nature of the archipelago with its skerries, reddish cliffs, and mild climate. Highlights include Kastelholm Castle ruins, the open-air museum, and Bomarsund Fortress. In the early afternoon, cross the scenic Turku Archipelago – a paradise of thousands of islands and rocks. Arrive in the evening in Finland’s oldest city.
Day 5: 5 August 2026 / Turku – Kuopio In the morning, visit Turku: the venerable cathedral, one of Finland’s most important buildings, and the imposing medieval castle (exterior view). Then travel through central Finland’s lake district – a magical landscape with sparkling waters, countless islands, and endless forests. Final destination: Kuopio.
Day 6: 6 August 2026 / Stay in Kuopio – Boat Trip Spend the day discovering the charming city of Kuopio. On a walking tour, see the lovely market square, city hall, and historic market hall. Then head to Puijo Tower for a magnificent view over the lake labyrinth. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Kallavesi.
Day 7: 7 August 2026 / Savonlinna – Lappeenranta The journey continues through an idyllic lake landscape to Savonlinna. Visit Olavinlinna Castle, considered Finland’s most beautiful medieval fortress. The famous opera festival takes place here each year. Via the impressive Punkaharju ridge, a natural formation of unique beauty, arrive at Lappeenranta on the shore of Lake Saimaa.
Day 8: 8 August 2026 / Lappeenranta – Porvoo – Helsinki Start the day with a stroll along Lake Saimaa or a visit to the historic fortress, illustrating the city’s origins. Then travel to Porvoo, one of Finland’s most charming towns, known for its red wooden houses along the river and the historic old town with narrow streets. After a city walk, continue to the Finnish capital, Helsinki.
Day 9: 9 August 2026 / Helsinki Helsinki features wide parks, lively shopping streets, and elegant architecture. On a city tour, see the Cathedral, Presidential Palace, and the unique Rock Church. In the Old Market Hall, taste Finnish specialties such as berries or cheese from Lapland.
Day 10: 10 August 2026 / Helsinki – Ferry Crossing The morning is free: stroll the streets or make any last-minute visits on your own. In the early afternoon, board the ferry to Travemünde, arriving the next day. Air passengers: return flight in the morning with Luxair to Luxembourg.
Day 11: 11 August 2026 / At Sea – Travemünde – Lübeck Enjoy a relaxing day at sea before arriving in Travemünde in the evening. After disembarkation, a short transfer to Lübeck for overnight stay.
