TRAVEL ITINERARY
Day 1: 29 May 2027 / Arrival in Paris – Musée d’Orsay – City Tour Departure takes place at 6:30 a.m. from P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg towards Paris, including breakfast. Lunch is served at the restaurant of the Musée d’Orsay. In the afternoon, you enjoy a guided tour through this exceptional museum, housed in a beautifully renovated former railway station. Admire masterpieces by Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh among many others. To end the day, you take part in a short panoramic tour through the French capital.
Day 2: 30 May 2027 / Gardens of Giverny – Arromanches-les-Bains After breakfast, you travel to Giverny, where Claude Monet lived and worked for more than forty years. With great passion, he created his famous flower and water gardens, which are still considered living works of art today. During a visit of the gardens and his house, you experience the special atmosphere that inspired the master of Impressionism. After lunch together, the journey continues to Arromanches-les-Bains.
Day 3: 31 May 2027 / The D-Day Beaches – Omaha Beach – Colleville-sur-Mer Today is dedicated entirely to history. You explore the most important landing beaches of the Allied invasion as well as other significant World War II sites. Highlights include Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc and Pegasus Bridge.
Day 4: 01 June 2027 / Caen In the morning, you travel to Caen, the capital of the Calvados department. During a guided tour, you discover the city and its rich history. Afterwards, you have free time, including the possibility to visit the famous Caen Memorial Museum individually.
Day 5: 02 June 2027 / Utah Beach – Sainte-Mère-Église – Airborne Museum The day begins with a visit to Utah Beach, one of the five landing sectors of the Allied invasion in June 1944. Today, the wide sandy beach appears peaceful and almost idyllic, yet memorials and historical remains vividly recall the events of D-Day. You then continue to Sainte-Mère-Église, one of the first towns liberated by American paratroopers. At the Airborne Museum, authentic artefacts, personal testimonies and multimedia displays provide moving insights into the dramatic hours of the landings. In the afternoon, Normandy reveals its scenic beauty with fishing harbours, traditional villages, dramatic cliffs and long sandy beaches shaping the coastline.
Day 6: 03 June 2027 / Pont-l’Évêque – Père Magloire Distillery – Deauville After breakfast, you travel to Pont-l’Évêque, a charming Norman town famous for its traditional cheese. You visit the “Joyeuse Prison,” a neoclassical prison dating from 1823, now offering a fascinating insight into regional history. Naturally, a tasting of Pont-l’Évêque cheese is included. The route then continues to the renowned Père Magloire distillery. During a guided visit, you learn about the production of Calvados before enjoying a tasting of this distinctive apple brandy. Afterwards, you reach the elegant seaside resort of Deauville. Enjoy free time for a stroll along the seafront or through the refined town centre of this prestigious coastal destination.
Day 7: 04 June 2027 / Return Journey Return journey to Luxembourg, including lunch.
