ITINERARY
Day 1: 9 May 2027 / Journey to Genoa – Embarkation
Departure at 4:30 a.m. from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) for Genoa, including breakfast and lunch. In the late afternoon, you arrive at the port, where embarkation takes place around 5:00 p.m. As the ferry sets course for Sardinia, you enjoy dinner on board.
Air travellers: Luxair flight to Olbia, transfer to the hotel in Golfo Aranci and leisure time.
Day 2: 10 May 2027 / Porto Torres – Castelsardo – Golfo Aranci
With views of the Sardinian coastline, your ferry arrives in Porto Torres. After breakfast on board, your first island discovery tour begins. The route follows the northern coast via Castelsardo, whose picturesque old town rises dramatically above the sea on a rocky promontory. You then continue to Golfo Aranci.
Day 3: 11 May 2027 / Costa Smeralda
A day of breathtaking scenery awaits along the legendary Costa Smeralda. Emerald waters, striking granite formations and elegant marinas define this famous stretch of coastline. During the excursion, you stop at Cala di Volpe and Porto Cervo, among the most renowned destinations on the island.
Day 4: 12 May 2027 / Orgosolo
Today you travel inland to Orgosolo, a village famous throughout Sardinia for its remarkable murals. During a guided walk, you admire colourful artworks depicting local history, politics and everyday life. Afterwards, a traditional lunch with Sardinian shepherds offers an authentic insight into regional culture and cuisine.
Day 5: 13 May 2027 / La Maddalena
A boat trip takes you to La Maddalena. Once feared as a pirate refuge, the island is now regarded as one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful natural treasures. A panoramic tour introduces you to its unique landscapes and charm.
Day 6: 14 May 2027 / Gallura Excursion
Today you explore Gallura, Sardinia’s northernmost region, known for its dramatic granite formations, rolling hills and cork oak forests. Your tour first reaches Calangianus, where a visit to a cork factory provides fascinating insights into the production of this important natural material. You then continue to Tempio Pausania, the charming capital of Gallura, whose historic centre is built almost entirely from pale granite.
Day 7: 15 May 2027 / Alghero – Embarkation
The day begins with a walk through the charming coastal town of Alghero. Cobbled streets, lively squares and its attractive harbour district create a distinctive atmosphere. The excursion continues to the impressive cliffs of Capo Caccia, home to the spectacular Neptune’s Grotto, one of the Mediterranean’s most remarkable sea caves. On the journey back towards Porto Torres, you pass the Romanesque church of Santissima Trinità di Saccargia, famous for its striking striped façade. In the evening, embarkation on the ferry.

Day 8: 16 May 2027 / Genoa – Return Journey
After breakfast on board, the ferry arrives in Genoa. You then begin the return journey to Luxembourg, including lunch.
