ITINERARY
Day 1: 22 December 2026 / Arrival in Lenzerheide
Your journey begins at 6:00 a.m. from the P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg towards Graubünden, including breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, you arrive in Lenzerheide, idyllically situated at around 1,500 metres above sea level. Surrounded by snowy peaks and winter forests, you check into your hotel and prepare for festive Christmas days in the Swiss Alps.
Day 2: 23 December 2026 / Through the Alps on the Bernina Express
Via the Julier Pass, you travel to St. Moritz in the morning. Here begins one of Europe’s most spectacular railway journeys: the alpine crossing aboard the Bernina Express. The route passes impressive viaducts, numerous tunnels and daring bridges. Particularly remarkable is the 65-metre-high Landwasser Viaduct, one of the landmarks of the Rhaetian Railway. Throughout the journey, breathtaking views open up over the Bernina massif, the Morteratsch Glacier and the alpine lakes Lej Pitschen, Lej Nair and Lago Bianco. The circular viaduct of Brusio is another unforgettable highlight of this panoramic route. In Tirano, there is time for lunch before meeting your driver for the return journey to Lenzerheide.
Day 3: 24 December 2026 / Chur – Christmas Eve in the mountains
After breakfast, you travel to Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland with more than 11,000 years of settlement history. During a guided tour, you discover important landmarks such as the Episcopal Palace, the Town Hall, the Zschaler House and the city palace on Reichsgasse. Afterwards, you have free time to stroll through the historic old town with its charming shops and cafés. Back in Lenzerheide, you enjoy the magical atmosphere of Christmas Eve. Those who wish may explore one of the many winter walking trails through the snowy alpine landscape.
Day 4: 25 December 2026 / Christmas morning – Horse-drawn sleigh ride
Christmas morning begins peacefully. You may choose to attend a festive Christmas mass. In the afternoon, a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride awaits through the snow-covered winter scenery around Lenzerheide. Wrapped in warm blankets, you glide through silent forests and across snowy clearings.
Day 5: 26 December 2026 / Winter day in Lenzerheide
This day is entirely at your leisure. Enjoy the comforts of your hotel or take in the crisp mountain air while strolling through Lenzerheide. Relaxing in one of the village cafés or restaurants is also a wonderful way to spend this peaceful winter day.
Day 6: 27 December 2026 / Return journey
After breakfast, you begin the return journey to Luxembourg, including lunch.
