ITINERARY
Day 1: December 23, 2025 – Journey to Lake Constance – Christmas Garden on Mainau Island Early morning departure from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) toward Lake Constance, including breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll take the ferry from Meersburg to Mainau Island, where the enchanting Christmas Garden awaits. Along a 2-kilometer circular path, you'll immerse yourself in a festive world of twinkling lights and stunning illuminations. After this magical experience, enjoy dinner on the island before continuing on to Lindau.
Day 2: December 24, 2025 – Boat Tour on Lake Constance – Meersburg After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Constance. In the afternoon, explore Meersburg – a town known for its historic architecture and breathtaking viewpoints. The terrace of the New Castle offers a spectacular view of the old fortress, the lower town, and the lake. The impressive Rieschentreppe staircase with its 171 steps connects the harbor to the picturesque upper town. The lakeside promenade, the Wetterkreuz, the memorial along the ridge trail, and the Hirtle above the Sommertal valley—with views of eastern Lake Constance, Switzerland, and the Alps—all invite you to linger. The imposing town fortifications round out the medieval charm.
Day 3: December 25, 2025 – Festive Christmas Mass – Free Time in Lindau Start Christmas Day with the option to attend a festive Christmas Mass. Afterwards, the day is yours to enjoy in Lindau. Stroll along the picturesque lakeside promenade, explore the charming old town, or simply soak in the festive atmosphere by the lake.
Day 4: December 26, 2025 – Return Journey with Stop at Lake Titisee After several memorable days, you’ll begin your journey home. On the way, you’ll stop in the Black Forest at the scenic Lake Titisee, where you’ll enjoy lunch. Then continue back to Luxembourg.
