TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day 1: 29 May 2027 / Welcome to Belgrade
Departure in the morning from P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg towards Frankfurt. From there, you fly to Belgrade, the vibrant capital of Serbia. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you have free time to gather your first impressions of the city. In the evening, a stroll through Skadarlija, Belgrade’s historic bohemian quarter, is highly recommended, where traditional kafanas, music and local atmosphere provide the perfect start to the journey.

Day 2: 30 May 2027 / Belgrade – River Cruise
The day begins with a panoramic city tour showcasing Belgrade’s architectural diversity, from New Belgrade to the elegant district of Dedinje and the impressive Saint Sava Cathedral. Afterwards, you explore the historic city centre on foot. A stop at the city’s oldest tavern, the legendary “?” Kafana, invites you to enjoy traditional coffee and rakija tasting. The tour continues with a walk through Kalemegdan Fortress, offering stunning views over the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, followed by a relaxing river cruise. In the evening, you enjoy a welcome dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 3: 31 May 2027 / Treasures of Vojvodina – Wine Tasting – Novi Sad
Today’s journey takes you into the green province of Vojvodina. In Fruška Gora National Park, you visit the Krušedol Monastery before discovering the charming baroque town of Sremski Karlovci, famous for its rich wine tradition. A wine tasting perfectly complements the morning. In the afternoon, you explore Novi Sad, European Capital of Culture 2021. A walk through the old town and a visit to Petrovaradin Fortress offer magnificent views over the Danube.

Day 4: 01 June 2027 / Danube – Golubac Fortress – Boat Excursion
Following the Danube eastwards, you reach the spectacular Golubac Fortress, majestically overlooking the river. You then continue to the eco-ethno complex Kapetan Mišin Breg, a peaceful place where art, nature and tradition meet. A highlight of the day is the boat trip through Đerdap National Park and the famous Iron Gates Gorge. Along towering cliffs, you discover the monumental rock sculpture of King Decebalus and the ancient Roman Tabula Traiana memorial plaque.

Day 5: 02 June 2027 / Serbian Tuscany – Oplenac – Wine Tasting – Zlatibor
After checking out from your hotel, you leave Belgrade and travel towards the Šumadija region. In Oplenac, you visit the royal mausoleum of the Karađorđević dynasty. Afterwards, a wine tasting at a traditional winery introduces you to Serbia’s royal wine-making heritage. The journey then continues into the mountainous region of Zlatibor, where you check into your next hotel. A relaxing walk and a traditional dinner in a local kafana provide a wonderful end to the day.

Day 6: 03 June 2027 / Discovering Western Serbia
A ride on the spectacular Gold Gondola takes you up to Mount Tornik, offering wide panoramic views across western Serbia. Afterwards, you immerse yourself in traditional rural life at the Sirogojno open-air museum. In the afternoon, you explore Stopića Cave, famous for its natural limestone pools. The evening is at leisure.

Day 7: 04 June 2027 / Mokra Gora – Šarganska osmica – Drvengrad – Belgrade
Today, you leave Zlatibor and travel to Mokra Gora. A nostalgic narrow-gauge railway journey aboard the Šarganska osmica takes you through tunnels, viaducts and untouched landscapes. You then visit the ethno village of Drvengrad, built from natural materials by film director Emir Kusturica. After lunch, you return to Belgrade, where a farewell dinner in a local restaurant concludes the final evening of the tour.

Day 8: 05 June 2027 / Return Journey
The morning is free at leisure before your transfer to the airport. You then fly from Belgrade to Frankfurt and continue by coach back to Luxembourg.
