TRAVEL ITINERARY
Day 1: 30 December 2026 / Arrival – Milan and Cathedral Tour In the morning, you fly from Luxembourg to Milan. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Around midday, you begin discovering the Lombard capital. Milan combines history, elegance and modernity in a unique way. During a guided city tour, you explore the city’s most important landmarks, including the magnificent Milan Cathedral, whose intricate marble façade is considered one of Italy’s greatest architectural masterpieces.
Day 2: 31 December 2026 / Ballet Performance at La Scala – New Year’s Gala The morning is free for your own activities. Optionally, you may visit the La Scala Museum, where memorabilia from legendary performers, historical documents, stage sets and exhibits from two centuries of opera history are displayed. In the late afternoon, you attend an approximately three-hour ballet performance at Teatro alla Scala, one of the world’s most prestigious opera houses. Afterwards, a festive New Year’s Eve gala dinner awaits you at the hotel from 8:30 PM onwards.
Day 3: 01 January 2027 / Leisure Time The first day of the new year is entirely at your leisure. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through Milan, visit a museum or simply soak up the elegant atmosphere of the city. Optionally, you may attend a New Year’s concert in the afternoon. In Milan, performances of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony are considered a cherished New Year tradition.
Day 4: 02 January 2027 / Bergamo – Franciacorta Today’s excursion first takes you to Bergamo. The upper town, surrounded by Venetian walls, is easily reached by funicular railway. Around Piazza Vecchia, you discover an impressive architectural ensemble including the cathedral, baptistery, Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colleoni Chapel and the Palazzo della Ragione. Walking through the narrow streets, you encounter charming boutiques and artistic details from past centuries. In the afternoon, you continue into the rolling hills of Franciacorta, one of Northern Italy’s most renowned wine regions. At a traditional winery, you learn about the region’s sparkling and still wines while enjoying a tasting accompanied by a light snack.
Day 5: 03 January 2027 / Como Today, you visit the lakeside town of Como, famous for its silk industry. During a guided tour, you discover the city’s main attractions, including the cathedral and the historic town hall. Afterwards, there is free time for an individual walk along the elegant lakeside promenade.
Day 6: 04 January 2027 / Return Journey In the morning, you still have time to stroll through Milan or enjoy the comfort of your hotel. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Luxembourg.
