TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day 1: September 26, 2026 / Flight – Leisure time in Ajaccio
You fly from Luxembourg to Ajaccio and are comfortably transferred to your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the charming capital of Corsica on your own.

Day 2: September 27, 2026 / Coach journey – Ferry crossing – Leisure time for air travelers

Coach travelers: Early morning departure from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) to Marseille, including breakfast and lunch. Around 6:00 pm, boarding the ferry. Dinner and first overnight stay on board.

Air travelers: The day is free in Ajaccio – perfect for gathering more impressions of the island.

Day 3: September 28, 2026 / Guided tour of Ajaccio – Leisure time
After disembarkation, coach travelers are transferred to the hotel. A guided walking tour introduces you to Ajaccio, Napoleon’s birthplace. Discover the city’s history and culture while strolling through the picturesque old town. The afternoon is free – enjoy an ice cream as sunlight reflects off the pastel-colored façades.

Day 4: September 29, 2026 / Bonifacio – Boat trip – Leisure time
Today you head south to the historic harbor town of Bonifacio, dramatically perched atop white limestone cliffs. A boat trip along the cliffs offers breathtaking views of the coastline. In the afternoon, a tourist train takes you up to the historic upper town, where you can wander through narrow streets scented with wild herbs.

Day 5: September 30, 2026 / Calanques de Piana
With a local guide, you explore one of Corsica’s most scenic panoramic routes. Via Vico and Évisa, the journey leads through the wild Spelunca Gorge to Porto. Afterwards, you travel along the famous Calanques de Piana, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where bizarre red rock formations glow like molten copper in the warm sunlight.

Day 6: October 1, 2026 / Bavella Massif – Sartène
In the morning, you travel toward the Bavella Massif. The striking Aiguilles de Bavella rise sharply into the sky – a true natural spectacle. On the return journey, accompanied by the scent of pine trees, you stop briefly in Sartène, a picturesque town often described as “the most Corsican of all Corsican towns.”

Day 7: October 2, 2026 / Bastia – Embarkation – Leisure time for air travelers

Coach travelers: Crossing the lush interior of the island via Corte, you first reach the charming fishing harbor of Saint-Florent. You then continue to Bastia, where a visit to the idyllic old port is worthwhile. In the evening, you board the ferry in Bastia bound for Marseille. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Air travelers: We recommend a boat excursion to the Îles Sanguinaires.

Day 8: October 3, 2026 / Marseille – Return journey – Return flight

Coach travelers: Early morning arrival in Marseille. After breakfast on board and disembarkation, you return by coach to Luxembourg, including lunch.

Air travelers: Transfer to the airport and return flight to Luxembourg.
