ITINERARY
Day 1: 7 November 2027 / Arrival – Valletta Early morning flight from Luxembourg to Malta. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and begin your discovery of Valletta. The capital impresses with its baroque architecture, the magnificent St. John’s Co-Cathedral and the Upper Barrakka Gardens offering stunning views over the Grand Harbour. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel in St. Paul’s Bay for a relaxing end to the day.
Day 2: 8 November 2027 / St. Paul’s Bay – Leisure time Enjoy the day at your own pace. Whether relaxing at the hotel, strolling along the coast or exploring on your own – soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere.
Day 3: 9 November 2027 / Mdina – Rabat An excursion takes you to the historical heart of Malta. Mdina, the former capital, offers a unique, timeless atmosphere behind its ancient walls. In this car-free “silent city”, narrow streets, elegant palaces and the cathedral create a remarkable setting. In Rabat, the St. Paul’s Catacombs provide fascinating insights into the island’s early Christian history. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 4: 10 November 2027 / Gozo Island – Lunch in Xlendi After breakfast, ferry crossing to Gozo, Malta’s greener sister island, known for its authentic charm. The Citadel of Victoria dominates the landscape, while the Inland Sea and Fungus Rock showcase dramatic coastal scenery. The Ġgantija Temples, among the oldest structures in the world, are another highlight. Following a shared lunch in Xlendi, you continue exploring before returning to Malta in the afternoon.
Day 5: 11 November 2027 / Sliema – Harbour cruise – Three Cities In the morning, drive to Sliema, where Malta reveals itself from a different perspective during a harbour cruise, passing impressive fortifications and historic towns. Afterwards, explore the “Three Cities” – Birgu, L’Isla and Bormla – deeply rooted in the island’s history. Birgu stands out with its charming streets and the Inquisitor’s Palace.
Day 6: 12 November 2027 / Leisure time Another day at your disposal to explore independently or enjoy the comfort of your hotel.
Day 7: 13 November 2027 / Southern Malta The south of the island offers a rich variety of landscapes and history. Visit the remarkable megalithic temples, dating back thousands of years. A photo stop at the Blue Grotto provides spectacular views of the shimmering sea. In the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, colourful traditional “luzzu” boats line the harbour – perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Day 8: 14 November 2027 / Return journey After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Luxembourg.
