ITINERARY
Day 1: May 21, 2026 / Arrival Departure in the morning from the P+R in Luxembourg to Paratico on Lake Iseo, including breakfast and lunch.
Alternative: Flight from Luxembourg to Milan and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: May 22, 2026 / Bergamo – Lake Iseo Boat Trip – Monte Isola After breakfast, you’ll discover a true gem of Northern Italy: Bergamo. The picturesque old town sits on a hill and is surrounded by an impressive Venetian city wall, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017. Take the funicular up to the "Città Alta", where magnificent palaces, the cathedral, and Castello San Vigilio await you. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat trip across Lake Iseo to Monte Isola – the highest island in a European lake, surrounded by lush greenery.
Day 3: May 23, 2026 / Brescia – Franciacorta Brescia impresses with its historical treasures. A highlight is the UNESCO-listed Santa Giulia Monastery, known for its stunning frescoes and goldsmithing (entry not included). Ancient Roman ruins such as the Forum, Capitolium, and amphitheatre also invite exploration. In the afternoon, travel through the renowned Franciacorta wine region, famous for its excellent DOC wines. A wine tasting with light snacks rounds off the day.
Day 4: May 24, 2026 / Cremona – Rocca Sforzesca di Soncino Today you’ll visit Cremona, the city of master violin makers. The striking cathedral with its marble façade, the over 110-meter-tall Torrazzo bell tower, and the octagonal baptistery shape the cityscape. The famous Violin Museum offers fascinating insights into the craft of Stradivari and Amati – including a musical demonstration. Afterwards, visit the impressive Rocca Sforzesca di Soncino, one of the best-preserved examples of Lombard military architecture.
Day 5: May 25, 2026 / Free time at Lake Iseo Enjoy a relaxing day at Lake Iseo. Take a stroll along the lake promenade or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere – the day is yours to spend as you wish.
Day 6: May 26, 2026 / Return journey After breakfast, return trip to Luxembourg, including lunch and dinner.
Alternative: Transfer from the hotel to Milan Airport and return flight to Luxembourg.
