In Lindau, charming alleyways and a lively lakeside promenade await you before you experience Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the Bregenz Festival on the world’s largest floating stage. Your journey is rounded off with excursions to Mainau Island and the charming town of Meersburg.

ITINERARY

Day 1: August 3, 2026 / Arrival in Lindau

Departure in the morning from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon, breakfast and lunch included. In the afternoon, you arrive in Lindau on Lake Constance – your charming base for the coming days.

Day 2: August 4, 2026 / Free time – Bregenz Festival – “La Traviata”

The morning is yours: use your free time to stroll through Lindau’s old town or along the lakeside promenade. In the early evening, a festive four-course dinner awaits you in the elegant restaurant of the Bayerischer Hof. Afterwards, a boat transfer – accompanied by a welcome drink – takes you to the famous floating stage in Bregenz. There you experience the opera performance “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi. After the performance, and thus an unforgettable cultural evening, the boat takes you back to Lindau.

Info: Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” (1853) is one of the most famous operas of all time. At its center is the Parisian courtesan Violetta Valéry, who seeks a life of luxury despite her illness. Through her love for Alfredo, she hopes to begin a new life, but social constraints and intrigues destroy her happiness. In the end, Violetta dies poor but reconciled, in the arms of her beloved.

Day 3: August 5, 2026 / Mainau Island & Meersburg

Today, a boat trip takes you to the flower island of Mainau. The island presents itself as a true paradise in every season, with lush blossoms, exotic plants and magnificent landscaped gardens. After your stay, you continue on to Meersburg, where you have time for your own explorations. A visit to the town’s namesake castle with its museum is recommended, as well as a relaxed stroll along the picturesque lakeside promenade. In the late afternoon, return by bus to Lindau.
