Our French-speaking Jordan trip captivates with a wealth of cultural and natural treasures from different eras of world history: In the well-preserved ruins of Jerash, you will immerse yourself in Roman history. You will discover the modern capital Amman and the tranquil port city of Aqaba. Travel to biblical sites on Mount Nebo and along the Jordan River, marvel at Jordan’s “Grand Canyon” and the medieval Crusader castle of Kerak. In Petra, admire the masterful stonework of the Nabataeans, spending a total of 1.5 days in this unique rock city. In Wadi Rum, let yourself be enchanted by bizarre rock formations and the magical desert atmosphere. A Bedouin dinner under the starry sky and a day at the Dead Sea (with the possibility of visiting the biblical baptism site) complete this relaxed journey.

You will stay in selected 4* accommodations in prime locations: centrally in Amman, within walking distance to the entrance of the ancient city of Petra, and with a relaxed infinity pool at the Dead Sea. In Wadi Rum, stay in comfortable fixed tents with panoramic views from bed and terrace (and private bathrooms).

Day 1: To Amman

• Transfer Luxembourg–Frankfurt Airport
• Flight Frankfurt-Amman
• Welcome and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Roman Antiquity in Jerash

• Day trip to Jerash
• Visit of the archaeological site (former Roman provincial city)
• Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 3: Amman, the capital of Jordan

• Visit King Abdullah Mosque
• Visit the Citadel and Archaeological Museum
• Walk through the souq
• Dinner at the hotel

Day 4: On Biblical Paths

• Visit the historical mosaic map in Madaba
• View (weather permitting) from Mount Nebo into the “Promised Land”
• Drive through Wadi Mujib (Jordan’s Grand Canyon)
• Visit the Crusader castle of Kerak
• Dinner at the hotel

Day 5: Petra & the Nabataeans

• Full-day sightseeing in the rock city of Petra (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
• Lunch with a Bedouin family
• Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 6: More Discoveries in Petra

• Visit the Neolithic ruins of Beidha
• Petra: Monastery Ed-Deir (800 irregular steps up/down each way)
• Dinner with a local family (or at the hotel)

Day 7: Wadi Rum – The Magic of the Desert

• Drive to Wadi Rum
• Lunch at the desert camp
• Jeep tour in Wadi Rum (with sunset observation)
• Bedouin dinner at the desert camp

Day 8: Red Sea & Dead Sea

• Drive to Aqaba
• Walk through the spice souq (opportunity to buy spices and souvenirs)
• Continue to the Dead Sea
• Dinner at the hotel

Day 9: Dead Sea, optional visit to Bethany

• Free time at the Dead Sea
• Optional: visit to Bethany (baptism site and John the Baptist’s dwelling cave)
• Dinner at the hotel

Day 10: Return flight from Amman

• Transfer to Amman Airport
