Between the sacred royal sites of Ambohimanga and the mysterious calls of the Indri lemurs, discover a natural paradise found nowhere else in the world. ITINERARY

Day 1: 24 August 2026 / Arrival in Antananarivo
Early morning departure to Frankfurt Airport and flight to Madagascar. Upon arrival at Ivato Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking guide and transferred to your hotel in Antananarivo.

Day 2: 25 August 2026 / Antananarivo – King’s Hill of Ambohimanga
After breakfast, explore the capital with your guide. Visit the historic upper town with its elegant colonial buildings and the old French train station from 1910. Lunch is served in a charming mansion, now the “CITIZEN” restaurant, with panoramic views over Lake Anosy and the royal palace. In the afternoon, visit Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former residence of the Merina kings. The sacred hill, with its gates, palaces, and summer residences, offers fascinating insights into Madagascar’s history.

Day 3: 26 August 2026 / Drive to Andasibe – Nature Reserve
Travel east to Andasibe, a five-hour drive through green rice fields, red brick houses, and bustling street markets—a true glimpse of rural life. After lunch at your hotel, visit a private reserve run by the NGO Mitsinjo. Learn about reforestation and conservation projects, and discover Madagascar’s unique amphibians, birds, and plants. Guests can even plant a tree, contributing to the preservation of this extraordinary rainforest.

Days 4 & 5: 27–28 August 2026 / In the Realm of Lemurs – Perinet Reserve
These two days are dedicated to the lush Perinet rainforest. With an experienced naturalist, track the Indri indri, the world’s largest lemur. Their black-and-white fur and distinctive calls are unforgettable. Many other lemur species live here. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy numerous endemic species, while orchids and reptiles highlight the park’s biodiversity. In the evening, take a guided night walk to experience the forest in a whole new atmosphere.

Day 6: 29 August 2026 / Lemur Island – Return to Tana
A special highlight awaits: a visit to Lemur Island, a small private reserve at the Vakona Lodge. Meet tame lemurs such as bamboo lemurs, diademed sifakas, and black-and-white ruffed lemurs—perfect for memorable encounters. After lunch, return to Antananarivo.

Day 7: 30 August 2026 / Flight to Nosy Be – Free Time
A short private flight takes you to Nosy Be, the “big island” off the northwest coast. Upon arrival, transfer to your beach hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Days 8 & 9: 31 August – 1 September 2026 / Relaxation and Free Time on Nosy Be
These days are free for leisure. Your hotel offers numerous excursions: island hopping, boat tours to nature reserves, fishing, diving, or snorkeling among colorful coral reefs. Quad tours and island drives are also possible. Enjoy relaxing hours by the sea or explore the underwater world.

Day 10: 2 September 2026 / Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Nosy Be Airport. Return flight to Frankfurt and onward to Luxembourg with countless unforgettable memories.
