ITINERARY
Day 1: 27 June 2026 / Arrival – Bordeaux Early morning departure from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) to Bordeaux, including breakfast and lunch.
Day 2: 28 June 2026 / Dune du Pilat After a leisurely breakfast, visit the breathtaking Dune du Pilat, Europe’s highest sand dune. Lunch is served in a panoramic restaurant with stunning views. Take a short walk along the sea before continuing to Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
Day 3: 29 June 2026 / Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Guided Tour – Free Time Discover the charming fishing port and the history of Louis XIV’s wedding with a local guide, visiting highlights such as Place Louis XIV and the Church of Saint-Jean Baptiste. Afternoon at leisure to explore on your own. Tip: enjoy the colorful textiles for which the region is famous.
Day 4: 30 June 2026 / San Sebastián Morning transfer to San Sebastián, one of Spain’s most elegant coastal cities. From Monte Igueldo, enjoy panoramic views over La Concha Bay. Explore the old town and landmarks including the Town Hall, Kursaal, Buen Pastor Cathedral, and Palacio Miramar. Afternoon free to explore independently.
Day 5: 1 July 2026 / Train de la Rhune – Espelette Ascend Saint-Ignace Pass with the cog railway “Train de la Rhune” for unique panoramic views over the Basque Country. Enjoy lunch, then continue through the picturesque village of Ainhoa to Espelette, famous for its white houses with red chili pepper garlands.
Day 6: 2 July 2026 / Biarritz Short drive to Biarritz, the “Queen of Seaside Resorts.” A local guide shows you highlights such as Rocher de la Vierge, Place Georges Clemenceau, the Grande Plage promenade with its 70+ m lighthouse, and the Musée de la Mer. Afternoon at leisure to explore further.
Day 7: 3 July 2026 / Bordeaux – Train Touristique Return to Bordeaux. Afternoon city tour on the “Train Touristique” to see the city’s most beautiful corners. Free time afterwards. Alternative for flight guests: Fly with Luxair from Bordeaux Airport to Luxembourg, skipping the 7th overnight in Bordeaux and the Train Touristique.
Day 8: 4 July 2026 / Return to Luxembourg Morning return to Luxembourg.
