ITINERARY
Day 1: 18 July 2026 / Arrival Early morning departure from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) to Cherbourg, including breakfast and lunch. Arrival and dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2: 19 July 2026 / La Hague – Vauville Botanical Garden – Le Père Mahieu Cidery Explore La Hague, a charming area full of enchanting landscapes and maritime traditions. Visit an impressive 11th-century manor. In the afternoon, visit the exotic Vauville Botanical Garden, home to over 1,500 plant species from around the world. The day ends with a visit to a traditional cidery, including tasting of its products.
Day 3: 20 July 2026 / Utah Beach – Airborne Museum A day dedicated to history. Utah Beach still recalls the Allied landing in June 1944. In Sainte-Mère-Église, visit the Airborne Museum, offering moving insights into the D-Day events. In the afternoon, explore the diversity of Normandy: small ports, authentic villages, impressive cliffs, and long beaches.
Day 4: 21 July 2026 / Barfleur – Gatteville Lighthouse – Tatihou Island In the morning, visit the impressive Gatteville Lighthouse, Europe’s second tallest at 71 meters. Then discover Barfleur, a picturesque port town with rich history, ranked among France’s most beautiful villages. Free time for personal exploration. Afterwards, cross to the historic Tatihou Island and enjoy the unique natural and maritime scenery.
Day 5: 22 July 2026 / Granville – Chausey Islands After breakfast, explore Granville, a former pirate stronghold retaining its medieval charm in the upper town. The lower town attracts with lively ports and maritime flair. In the afternoon, head out to the Chausey Islands, offering wild, nearly untouched nature – a true coastal gem.
Day 6: 23 July 2026 / Market in Cherbourg – La Cité de la Mer Start the day at the vibrant weekly market in central Cherbourg, sampling regional specialties. In the afternoon, visit La Cité de la Mer museum, dedicated to the fascinating world of underwater exploration, including a remarkable Titanic exhibition.
Day 7: 24 July 2026 / Return After a week of discoveries, return to Luxembourg, including lunch.
