ITINERARY
Day 1: 25 August 2026 / Arrival Departure at 6:00 a.m. from Luxembourg (P+R Bouillon) to Samoëns, including breakfast and lunch.
Day 2: 26 August 2026 / Samoëns – Morzine In the morning, visit the traditional Samoëns market. Located in the Vallée du Giffre, this authentic Alpine village preserves centuries-old traditions. Early afternoon, continue to nearby Morzine. Despite tourism, the town retains its original charm, especially visible in its wooden verandas and ornate balconies. We recommend a ride on the “Train Touristique” for a scenic overview of the village.
Day 3: 27 August 2026 / Yvoire Trip to Yvoire on Lake Geneva, known as the “Pearl of the Lake.” This fortified medieval village from the 14th century is one of the region’s most beautiful spots. Bars, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and charming pedestrian streets invite exploration. Recommended highlights include the “Jardin des Cinq Sens,” a mini-cruise with the solar boat, or the Fert Gallery.
Day 4: 28 August 2026 / Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval – Waterfalls Excursion to Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, a picturesque village with a 12th-century former Augustinian abbey, classified as a historic monument. The site is best known for its natural heritage. Then explore the “Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval,” a spectacular glacial amphitheater surrounded by numerous waterfalls. A short walk leads directly to the site, followed by visits to the nearby Rouget, Sauffaz, and Pleureuse waterfalls.
Day 5: 29 August 2026 / Megève Short drive to Megève for a guided tour of the charming Savoyard village at 1,113 meters above sea level. With Mont Blanc as a backdrop, the town provides a picturesque setting. The lively, car-free center captivates with boutiques, antique shops, cafés, and numerous terraces.
Day 6: 30 August 2026 / Return After breakfast, return to Luxembourg, including lunch.
