Day 1: April 27, 2026 / Arrival Ponta Delgada
Your trip begins with the flight from Luxembourg to Ponta Delgada, with a short stopover in Lisbon. After arrival in the Azores, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: April 28, 2026 / Furnas
Today is dedicated to the fascinating Furnas Valley. First stop is the Santa Iria viewpoint, which impresses with spectacular views of the coastal landscape. Then you visit the traditional Gorreana tea plantation as part of a tasting. From the Pico do Ferro viewpoint, you enjoy the panoramic view over the Furnas Valley, before going to the famous Terra-Nostra Park. After a walk through the lush gardens, you will be served the traditional "Cozido das Caldeiras," a stew cooked in the hot volcanic ground. In the afternoon, you explore the steaming fumaroles and drive back through the charming town Vila Franca do Campo.
Day 3: April 29, 2026 / Nordeste
Today you go to the untouched east of the island. You visit the idyllic village Povoação, which is considered the first settlement of the Azores, and discover the charming village Nordeste. From the Ponta do Sossego viewpoint you enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and the green hills. Another highlight is the Ribeira dos Caldeirões waterfall park.
Day 4: April 30, 2026 / Arrival Terceira
Early in the morning, transfer to the airport and flight to Terceira. After arrival, a bus takes you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you get to know the island capital Angra do Heroísmo during a guided tour. The UNESCO World Heritage city fascinates with its magnificent buildings, charming alleys and historic squares.
Day 5: May 1, 2026 / Terceira
A full-day excursion takes you to the most beautiful places of the island. You start with the Monte Brasil viewpoint, before going to the east of Terceira. You explore the picturesque coastal towns Ribeirinha, Serretinha and Porto Judeu, before enjoying the impressive view from Serra do Facho in Praia da Vitória. After a traditional lunch with "Alcatra," a typical stew, you continue to the island’s interior. Here you visit the Furnas do Enxofre and the seaside resort Biscoitos with its famous vineyards. Via picturesque villages you return to Angra do Heroísmo.
Day 6: May 2, 2026 / Arrival Horta
You continue flying to Horta on the island Faial. After transfer to the hotel you discover the enchanting city on a guided tour. The day ends in style with a gin tonic at the famous Café Peter.
Day 7: May 3, 2026 / Pico
Today you take the ferry to Pico, the island of wine and whales. After a walk through the unique vineyards of Criação Velha you visit the whaling museum. On the way back, you enjoy a traditional tasting of Pico cheese, sausages and local wines. The return trip is again by ferry to Horta.
Day 8: May 4, 2026 / Faial
You go to the natural wonders of Faial. From the Espalamaca viewpoint you have a great view of the neighboring islands Pico and São Jorge. Then it goes to the impressive Caldeira and to the Capelinhos volcano, which was formed by a volcanic eruption in 1957. After a stop in Varadouro the day ends at the airport for the onward flight to Ponta Delgada. After arrival you transfer to the hotel.
Day 9: May 5, 2026 / Lagoa do Fogo
Another nature highlight awaits you today: the Lagoa do Fogo, one of the most beautiful crater lakes of the Azores. Then visit the charming town Ribeira Grande, known for its colonial architecture. In Sete Cidades you admire the famous twin lakes, before going to the pineapple greenhouses in Fajã de Baixo. There you enjoy a liqueur tasting.
Day 10: May 6, 2026 / Whale watching
Today you take part in an impressive whale watching tour. Here you see whales and dolphins in their natural habitat.
Day 11: May 7, 2026 / Free time
This day is at your disposal.
Day 12: May 8, 2026 / Return
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Luxembourg. Your trip through the breathtaking island world of the Azores ends with many new impressions and beautiful memories.
