Itinerary

Day 1: 7 November – Arrival in Malta
Early morning flight from Luxembourg-Findel Airport at 06:15 to Malta. Arrival at Malta International Airport at 08:50, where you will already be welcomed by your tour guide. Immediately afterwards, you will discover Valletta, the impressive capital of Malta and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the guided tour, you will experience the city’s main sights: the magnificent St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Upper Barrakka Gardens with its wonderful panoramic view, and the Grandmaster’s Palace. Particularly impressive is the unique architecture of the historic buildings with their typical balconies, as well as the view of the Grand Harbour and the opposite “Three Cities”. In the early afternoon, transfer to the 4-star Qawra Palace Resort & Spa in St. Paul’s Bay. Arrival around 14:00. The group is welcomed with a non-alcoholic welcome drink, followed by check-in and time to settle in and relax.

Day 2: 8 November – St. Paul’s Bay – Free time
Today is dedicated to relaxation. Enjoy your free time at the Qawra Palace Resort & Spa and let the impressions of the previous day sink in. Make use of the hotel’s facilities, relax by the pool, in the spa area, or take a walk along the coast. Alternatively, you can explore St. Paul’s Bay on your own or spend time in a seaside café. A day to shape entirely according to your wishes, whether active or relaxed. (B)

Day 3: 9 November – Mdina & Rabat – Malta’s history and silence
After breakfast, excursion to the cultural heart of the island. First, visit Mdina, the former capital of Malta, also known as the “Silent City”. Behind its mighty city walls unfolds a unique atmosphere of narrow streets, medieval palaces and timeless calm. You will visit the cathedral and the adjoining museum, gaining deep insight into Malta’s eventful history. Afterwards, continue to Rabat, where you will visit St. Paul’s Catacombs. These early Christian burial sites are among the most important archaeological testimonies on the island. Return to the hotel around 14:00, followed by a free afternoon. (B)

Day 4: 10 November – Island of Gozo – Nature, culture and tradition
After breakfast, departure towards the ferry port and crossing to Gozo, known for its unspoiled landscape and slower pace of life. On Gozo, you will first discover the imposing Citadel in Victoria, towering above the island and offering wide views of the surroundings. Then continue to the spectacular Inland Sea and Fungus Rock, impressive natural formations along the rugged coast. Another highlight is the visit to the Ġgantija Temples, among the oldest freestanding structures in human history. Afterwards, you will see the traditional salt pans and the picturesque fishing village of Xlendi. At 13:30, enjoy a shared lunch in a typical restaurant in Xlendi. In the afternoon, continue exploring the island before returning to Malta by ferry in the late afternoon. Return to the hotel. (B, L)

Day 5: 11 November – Harbour cruise & the Three Cities
After breakfast, transfer to Sliema, where a harbour cruise of about 1.5 hours awaits you. From the water, you will discover Malta’s impressive natural harbours and the historic fortifications that have shaped the island for centuries. Afterwards, visit the famous Three Cities: Isla, Bormla and Birgu, considered the cradle of Maltese history. Especially in Birgu, one of Malta’s oldest cities, you will dive deep into the past. Here, you will visit the Inquisitor’s Palace, an important testimony to the history of the Order and the Inquisition. Afterwards, free time for your own explorations or a break in a café before returning to the hotel. (B)

Day 6: 12 November – St. Paul’s Bay – Free time
Today is at your disposal. Take the opportunity to follow your personal interests and enjoy Malta at your own pace. (B)

Day 7: 13 November – Megalithic temples, Blue Grotto & Marsaxlokk
Meeting with your tour guide at 08:45 in the hotel lobby. At 09:00, excursion to the south of Malta, a region rich in history and maritime charm. First, visit the impressive megalithic temple complexes, whose origins are older than the pyramids of Egypt. These unique testimonies of prehistoric culture provide a fascinating insight into the island’s early history. Then, a photo stop at the famous Blue Grotto, whose shimmering waters are among Malta’s most famous natural wonders.
Continue to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where traditional colorful “Luzzu” boats shape the harbour. Enjoy free time along the promenade before returning to the hotel around 16:00. (B)

Day 8: 14 November – Departure and return flight to Luxembourg
The airport representative will come to the hotel and assist with check-out. Departure from the hotel at 06:45, arrival at the airport at 07:30. Check-in and departure with Luxair at 09:40. (B)
